Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ) greatest figure in mankind: VC

LAHORE: (Friday, September 19, 2025): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali has said that there is no greater figure in the history of mankind than Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ), who is a source of pride for us being the Muslims. He was addressing Mehfil-e-Zikar O Naat organized by the PU Officers Welfare Association at Al-Razi Hall here on Friday. On this occasion, PU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Chairman Department of Arabic Prof Dr Hamid Ashraf Hamdani, PUOWA President Dr Tauqir, Secretary Rana Muzaffar Ali along with other office bearers and officers were present. In his address, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali said that the birth of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) was the biggest revolution in the world, which provided the society with civilization, consciousness and awareness about the rights of all creatures. He said that the Holy Quran is a complete code of life in which the treasure of knowledge, action and law is hidden. He said that for peace and prosperity in the society, there is a need to benefit from the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). He said that by studying the biography of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ), we can know how he behaved with others. He said that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) established the best model of governance in the state of Medina. He said that enlightenment in life is not possible without studying the biography of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). He said that non-Muslims have also written odes on the glory of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). He congratulated the organizers for arranging a beautiful gathering in connection with the 1500th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). Prof Dr Hamid Ashraf Hamdani said that the vocabulary is very limited to describe the qualities and perfections of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). He said that the life of Holy Prophet (ﷺ) is the best model for us, by following which we can achieve success in our lives. He said that there is a need to highlight the lesson that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) taught the Ummah through his actions.
